A purple-clad acrobat balances under a bright grow-lamp in a greenhouse-like space, surrounded by larva-like creatures that make a subdued growling sound as they wait. The relationship between the creatures and the figure standing on its own hair in a supernatural way is unclear: Are the larvae approaching it threateningly or reverently?
The work contemplates what we can try to control and to what extent; and where do the limits of control lie? The scene in the installation, frozen at an impossible moment, might be compared to human efforts to reach something infinite, eternal, and as yet unattainable.
