In the work, the viewer is invited to observe a panel-discussion-like event taking place at a long table. The participating twelve figures and objects all come from different realities. They each take part in the discussion in their own abstract language. A thirteenth figure, who facilitates the session, but is unseen by the audience, interprets the speeches. The aim of the discussion is to determine what will happen next.
The work has been influenced by the structure and aesthetics of democratic events. Each figure in the scene gets an opportunity to contribute to the achievement of a common goal, but is participation on an equal footing possible, or is it just an aesthetic illusion?
