Students from Sibelius Academy have compiled a series of piano serenades to accompany the exhibition Birger Carlstedt – Le Chat Doré. The connection between the visual arts and the music forms a central theme in Carlstedt’s art. The piano serenades present a medley of 20th century as well as compositions from the Romantic era staple in the repertoire of Carlstedt’s partner, the piano virtuoso France Ellegaard.
