Terms of booking

Order confirmation

The booking is binding after we have processed and confirmed your reservation. We will send you an order confirmation and arrival instructions via email. We aim to confirm your booking as soon as possible.

Arrival

The booking is only valid at the agreed time. Groups can arrive at the museum 10 minutes before their reserved time. When arriving at the museum the group can move straight downstairs to the K1 floor, where they will find the cashier desk for groups.

Delays

The customer is asked to report any delay to the number provided with the booking confirmation. If the customer is more than 15 minutes late, the reservation will be cancelled. If the customer has booked a guided tour and is more than 15 minutes late, they pay a cancellation fee of €50 (school groups pay a cancellation fee of €30).

The Museum rules

By accepting the booking terms, you agree to comply with the museum rules:

• The artworks are not to be touched, unless otherwise stated.
• You should move peacefully in the museum.
• You are not allowed to lean on walls or plinths, due to the safety of the rtworks.
• Please follow the instructions of the Museum Staff.

For artwork safety, you are not allowed to bring the following items into the exhibitions:

• backpacks or big bags, small backpacks (max. 30 x 30 cm) can be carried on the front or on the side
• liquids
• umbrellas
• studded shoes
• tripods or selfie sticks

Children and School Groups

The Museum Guide is in charge of leading the guided tours and art workshops. Teachers/parents are responsible for the group during the whole of the visit and ensure there is peace for the group to work.

Cancellations

Cancellations must be made in writing to booking@amosrex.fi or by calling Amos Rex group services during its opening hours.

A pre-booked guided tour can be cancelled free of charge up to 7 days prior to the day of the reservation. For later cancellations, the customer pays a cancellation fee of €50.00 (€30 for school groups).

In a rare case where the museum cancels the reservation due to unforeseen circumstances, the customer will not be charged any fees.

Payment methods

Pre-booked group visits can be paid by card or cash upon arrival, or after the visit by invoice (invoice option available only with a Finnish business ID number). Entrance tickets will be charged according to attendance.
