Amos Rex summer 2026
Go to Space, dance like everyone is watching, and experience Helsinki you have never seen before.
SS26 SPACE by Minttu Vesala
This summer, Amos Rex museum shop turns into a curated sales gallery SS26 SPACE by Minttu Vesala, showcasing selected fashion pieces, styling gems, obscure objects and bold natural cosmetics by Finnish brands and designers. The SPACE also acts as a community stage for special events, and its reading corner carries a selection of magazines and books highlighting art, fashion, and queer culture.
You can visit the shop without a museum ticket. Or combine a visit to Space with the Generation 2026 exhibition: museum entry is free for under-18s. For students and 18–29-year-olds, admission costs 5 euros.
Dansbana! Amos Rex
This is an invitation to dance: Dansbana! Amos Rex, opening on Lasipalatsi Square for the summer, is a public art installation and a free dance floor where anyone can dance, practice, or perform to their own music. During the summer, the dance floor will also host 11 dance performances, and Dance House Helsinki will organize three traditional summer dances open to everyone. All events are free.
The Night of the Arts: sitting.waiting.walking.
sitting.waiting.walking. is an autofictional, multidisciplinary piece combining performance and installation, exploring trauma, karma, and human relationships. It consists of eight acts, each inviting young Nordic artists to help build and create a new performative situation. The first two acts are presented at Amos Rex during Night of the Arts. The audience will encounter singers, dancers, actors, and lip-sync performers. Both performances have free entry.
The Secret Capital of EGS
EGS is one of Finland’s most well-known graffiti artists, and The Secret Capital of EGS is a multidisciplinary work that can be walked through and experienced in late summer. In the artwork, Helsinki is revealed as the forgotten and lost capital of the fictional state known as the Republic of EGS. From the city’s layers emerge lost memories, subcultures, rumors and legends, actual historical figures and events, and unexpected works of art.
