Two jesters who escaped from the royal court, Thalamis and Thalatta, find each other on the hills of Dansbana. Entertaining the court was no longer enough for them, they longed to be among their own, to perform among the people. The courtless jesters first learned their unruly acrobatic skills while dodging the king’s punishments, and later by twisting through the gears of bureaucracy. Their escape was endless. How will the jesters survive constant evasion and challenge? How can they continue to build trust and safety without control, without the ideas they learned at court?

Megabondmon is a dance collective born within Helsinki’s club scene. The gestures of their performances emerge in people’s theatres — in the streets, site-specifically, through rituals and acrobatics. For Megabondmon, dance and performance are languages of political power.
The collective is convened by Noia Kekoni-Kattelus and Jessica Jojo Piasecki, and its line-ups have varied through collaborations with experimental multimedia artists. At Dansbana, MBM also includes experimental musician Masha Glazunova.
