Come and try out hustle! Hustle is a social partner dance from the 70’s. It was created and developed by puertorican-american and african-american teens in the streets and the gay-clubs of New York and is danced mostly to disco, funk, soul, RnB and house.
In this performance, you will see members from Hustlinki – Helsinkis own hustle-community. We offer free classes and sessions every week and always invite new people to come and try.
The dance is energetic, fun and inclusive to all – anybody can lead and follow.
After the performance (around 5 min starting at 17:00) we will keep a quick introduction class to hustle, followed by an open dance floor until 19:00. Welcome!

Teaching the hustle class will be Ronja Jansson. She has been organising events for hustle in Helsinki since 2018, and is one of the pillars for the hustle community here. She will perform together with Niklas Isola, Tanja Kuurola and Petra Kinnunen who has been hustling with Hustlinki for many years. They all also dance other street- and club dances, and organise different kind of dance events.
