Good Hair Day

Good Hair Day is a collective, community, and event celebrating Afro Finnish identity and Afro hair by providing spaces for Afro Finns to connect and explore through hope and joy.

The antiracist work that we do as a collective dismantles negative stereotypes on Blackness by celebrating and documenting the Afro Finnish community through our own narrative and terms. Our collective’s actions are based on hope for a brighter future to exist freely without fear, oppression or racism.

GHD events aim to expand the perception of Nordic beauty, discuss the politics of being black as well as celebrate and share knowledge of Afro hair and Afro Finns.
