At Amos Rex’s artist talk, you will hear from Anna Estarriola herself about her practice, her art and the exhibition’s themes. The artist meetings are laid-back events where you can follow the artist’s exchange of ideas with various art professionals.

At the first artist talk on Thursday 8 May 2025 at 5:30 PM, Anna Estarriola and Amos Rex curator Katariina Timonen will delve into Estarriola’s working methods and artistic expression. The discussion will be based on Piles of Things—the largest, tallest and most recent installation work in the exhibition, and the making of which Timonen has had the privilege to follow very intimately. The artwork was created for the Estarriola exhibition Staged Circumstances and Piles of Things, and is now on show at Amos Rex for the first time.

The event is in English and will be held in the exhibition hall. The event will last approximately one hour.
Participation is for the price of your entrance ticket. You don’t need to book in advance but please arrive early!

There will be chairs with backrests in the hall for the event. There is no induction loop at Amos Rex. Read more: Accessibility at Amos Rex

A few photographs will be taken at the event for marketing communication, archiving and research purposes.
