Book a group visit or guided tour for your school group

Welcome to Amos Rex

Please always book group visits in advance so that we can give you the best service when at the museum. If the museum is crowded, pre-booked groups have priority of access. Please inquire about available group visit times using the form or by email. Your booking is confirmed once you receive a booking confirmation email from our Group Service. Groups arriving without a reservation may need to wait or visit the exhibition on another day.

During the Generation 2026 exhibition, Amos Rex collaborates with the City of Helsinki Education Division and offers free guided tours of the exhibition for 7th and 8th grade students. During the exhibition period, morning slots starting before 11:00 will not be available to other school groups.

During these tours, the guide will also provide background information about how the exhibition was created, as well as its themes. Participants will be given the best tips on how to approach the rich world of the exhibition, and after the tour, the group will be able to explore the pieces at their own pace.

For primary school groups, we recommend having at least two adults present. Please ensure that the primary school group stays with the teacher throughout the visit.

about your group when making your reservation.

Group visit without a guide

duration: approx. 45 min

group size: one class

You’re welcome to visit the museum as a group even without a guided tour. We recommend booking your visit in advance.

Teachers may lead their own groups, set tasks within the exhibition, and facilitate group discussions. Please be mindful of scheduled guided tours: if your group encounters one in the exhibition, kindly allow them space to proceed. Teachers may guide their groups lightly, but we ask that you remain aware of other visitors and ensure a calm environment for our guided tours.

We can accommodate two guided groups simultaneously, which is why we coordinate group numbers.

For primary school groups, we recommend having at least two adults present. Please ensure that the primary school group stays with the teacher throughout the visit.

Independent group visit

Admission is free for groups from daycare centres, comprehensive schools, upper secondary schools, or other secondary-level institutions.
