Bâtiment croquis

Thursday, Feb 12, 5:30 – 7:30 PM
Friday, Feb 13, 5:30 – 7:30 PM

Take a moment to sit down and try sketching with pen and paper by the artwork Bâtiment

Visitors become part of the artwork as they move on top of it, bringing the building’s façade to life. Does your hand keep up with what you see?

Croquis

Pronounced “croh-KEE”, Croquis comes from the French word croquer, meaning to draw quickly. Croquis is sketch-like drawing from a live model. The aim is not to create a perfect result, but to practice observation skills and the interplay between eye, hand, and paper.

We provide pens, paper, and drawing boards for you to borrow, but you are also welcome to bring your own materials, for example a sketchbook.

Croquis sessions are held on Thursday 12 February and Friday 13 February from 5:30PM to 7:30PM and are included in the museum’s admission fee.

The number of seats is limited, and seats cannot be reserved. The drawing takes place next to the artwork Bâtiment.

You are warmly welcome to sit down on an available seat and draw for about 15 minutes at a time. If others are waiting, we appreciate if you give up your seat after your turn so that more people can participate. If there is no queue, you are of course welcome to stay longer.

A guide will be present to assist with croquis drawing and to keep track of time.
